Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia

Founded in 1889 in the heart of Naples, the Reale Circolo Canottieri Italia is one of the most prestigious sports and cultural institutions in the Mediterranean. Originally established as a hub for the Neapolitan aristocracy and bourgeoisie passionate about sports, the Club blends tradition and innovation with a refined, elegant style and a strong sense of belonging.

In 1946, it adopted its current name, “Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia,” following a merger with the Circolo Partenopeo della Vela.

Its historic headquarters overlooks the docks of Santa Lucia, one of the most picturesque settings in the city, directly facing Castel dell’Ovo — the maritime
and symbolic heart of Naples. This iconic location reflects the Club’s deep-rooted spirit: grounded in tradition and open to the future.

Sailing and rowing have always coexisted here, fostering generations of athletes with passion and dedication. The “Marcello Campobasso” Sailing School, open to all, welcomes children and teens aged 7 to 16, offering courses ranging from beginner to competitive levels.

The Club organizes the renowned “Tre Golfi Sailing Week,” one of the most anticipated events in international sailing, confirming its role as a key player in both Italian and European sports
