In occasion of their visit to the Sardinian capital for the Waterpolo Sardinia Cup, to take place from December 19 to 21, Settebello took the opportunity to visit the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli America's Cup team.

A delegation from the Italian men's water polo national team, led by head coach Alessandro Campagna, visited the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli base, engaging with Skipper and Team Director Max Sirena and the sailors, designers, and shore team members.

Although very different, sailing and water polo sports have a lot in common, starting from the fact that for both the teams playing area is the water, and they are both sports where collective effort and not the individual, determines victory or defeat.

Furthermore, both federal athletes and Luna Rossa sailors undergo rigorous training to perform at their best under psychophysical stress.

This meeting was an opportunity to exchange ideas, suggestions, strategies, and advice in view of their respective upcoming challenges: Settebello is ready to face Montenegro, France and Australia in a quadrangular tournament in preparation for the European and World Championships; Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, on the other hand, is preparing to go out on the water and challenge for the America's Cup (Barcelona, Spain, August - October 2024).
