Born in Zocca in the province of Modena and with an Engineering degree, Matteo has already competed in three Americas' Cups (2013 Luna Rossa, 2017 Groupama Team France, 2021 Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli). He previously worked with several design and project management firms in the yachting sector and as a designer for carbon masts. The 2024 America's Cup will be his fourth America's Cup, the third with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, climbing, mountaineering and cycling, but also loves architecture and travelling.
