Born in Ravenna, Jacopo began sailing in the Optimist class at the age of nine. In the 49er class he achieved a European bronze medal and several top ten placements at world level, together with Umberto Molineris and Andrea Tesei, both members of the Luna Rossa sailing team. An all-round enthusiast of high-performance sailing, he participates as a coach in the SailGP circuit. The 37th America's Cup in Barcelona was his second America's Cup, again with Luna Rossa. As a child he dreamed of winning the America's Cup, his family passed this passion and ambition on to him. Today he is where he would like to be, with the same goal. Alternatively, he would see himself in the mountains, which have always attracted him.
